CTE Academy Reflection

Today we learn the dangerous things that could happen in a student job at our age. We learn the that depending on your age you have different work time. Thus is  important because a student must be home at a certain time. Also we learn that if you get injure during your job and it's your fault you don't get payed, and if you get injured and it's not your fault you get played. This is really important so don't get yourself hurt and end up not getting payed. Then we look at pictures and found what was unsafe and got prizes, I got a pen. Miss. Ramirez also told us if a person with a gun point at us just give him/her what they want don't try to be the hero your just going to lose your life. After that the Bell ring so we have to go.

Trip to Q.B.C.C

Today its really cold and me and my class were going on a trip to Queen Community College to learn about 3d printing I was excited because 3d printing sounds cool. Learn about how it impacts our society and what you can do with 3D printing. We got to use the 3d program it was hard because you had to make a cylinder. I mess up and had to ask for help. Then we tried to print it, but we were out of ink. That sucks. Then we got some samples of 3d prints, I got a salt shaker. Then se got to see machines that make the 3d print look like they were made out of metal. There were other tools that they use to make a human face or a statue. After that we got to see a video of how the machine works and what's it looks like. Then we went to this other room to eat, but we got a speech from a college student and she told us not to slack off and try your best. After that we got back to school and Ms. Ramirez dismissed us mad go home.

Project 3 Reflection

 In this project we use this damaged photo and fix it, but it was really hard because we have to use heal tool, patch tool, sharpen tool, dodge tool. What i did first was fix the background because it was simple and then I fix the blanket by using the healing tool and then I dodge tool to make it a lighter. After that I work on fixing the left girl since that had less problems and used the dodge tool on water to make it look like there skin and did the same on her arm to remove the water stain. Fixing the left girl was hard because you have to replace her eyes, lip, and noise. Then I fix the hair which took some time. The hardest part of this project was fixing the left girl. The fun part was fixing background. I see myself using this in the future when fixing someone face

Lab 6 reflection

In this lab we used the healing, spot healing, patch, color replacement, dodge, blur, smogde, burn, and rectangle tool. For picture (a) we used the healing brush to get rid of the the circle thing and fill the edge with grass. On picture (b) we use the healing brush again to get rid of JB sign and holes, but to fix the crack it was hard because you have to use the patch tool and select a part of mountain to get rid of crack, I ask Anvinh for help because he did it in his first try. On the picture (c) we had to make the man younger buy using the healing brush on his forehead to remove wrinkles and then I zoom into his right eye and change the size to 10 and remove wrinkles. On picture (4) I change the wall color from blue to red, which was fun. Then I used smodge tool on the roof to make it look like someone put there gand there and moved it, then I used the sharpness tool on the right window to make it look nice and clear, and blur tool on the left window to make it look unclear. Last I burn tool on the right rose and on the left I used dodge tool. After that we put the pictures together and finished the lab.

Reflection on my grades

1) My overall grade in this class was 90
2) My highest grade was 100 on engagement, which is 15% of my grade and I don't think it's that hard to do.
3) My worst grade was assignment because I guess I made some mistakes, that I should have not made.
4) I wasn't missing any homework but I forgot to put a blog link in Jupiter so I messed up so bad, even though I posted it on Google plus when it was due, it still count as late.
5) I can do better by remembering to post the blog link in Jupiter.

Lab 5 reflection

In this lab we took 2 pictures and give them filters. We use liquify filter first by using a picture of a person. We did this by first rasterizing a picture then we go to filters and pick liquify. It was fun to use this because you can make yourself look funny, like bigger face. Then we rename the layer liquify. With the second photo we have to duplicated it 4 times because we need to use different filters for each pictures. Then I spread out the other 5 pictures and gave each filters and rename them to these filters. After that we had to write our name and date and the lab number somewhere in the lab. What I learn is that doctors make pictures looks different what they usually look like and they can make pictures look better sometimes. What was hard for me in this lab was when I had to resize the pictures. I see myself using this in the future when I need to use a filters for my pictures.

How I take notes

The way I take notes is that I write the topic or the question on the left side of the paper where there hole puches are and on the rest of the paper I write important thing that the teacher teach me about the topic and it help me keep my notes organized

Road to Queen College reflection

On the 5th of November our class went on a trip to Queen College. We first took the M train to Woodhaven then we transfer to mta but. When we got there we got tickets for a raflal to win nexus 5 or nexus 7 tablet. We also met the U.S Army, they asked us what is leadership. Some of us got to answer and got prizes, I got one too when I answered their questions. After that we ate food the funny part was that Diego took six lunches. Then they answer our questions. When we left we took the mta but then the E train back which sucks because when ms. Ramirez dismissed us I took the same way back. The most important things I learn is that it is important to be a leader because you have to help your team weekness.

10/30/15                                        Project 2 Warhol Portrait

Warhol is was an American artist who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. His works explore the relationship between artistic expression, celebrity culture, and advertisement that flourished by the 1960s. After a successful career as a commercial illustrator, Warhol became a renowned and sometimes controversial artist. I would because this not only a regular painting, it is different and creative. This reminds of the time when I see art on the street because it nice to see some thing different because I think that the same is boring. Association is important because it the way of working with your group or friends, also when you work together you can split up the work up and get the job done faster.

Critics would make other feel bad and make them drag them down with they got and it not good to do this. The difference between informed and uninformed opinion is that the informed is what you share to the other and unformed is not having or showing awareness or understanding of the facts. The different between taste and bias is that taste is something you enjoy and bias is when your against one thing. Warhol portraits are very unique because he makes a portraits into four portraits, also each portraits have two different colors, but from a regular picture you see only one portrait with actual color.

Portraits are important to us because we take pictures of ourselves almost everyday. People paint portrait throughout their age because when you paint someone important you can sell it for a lot of money. What I did to created my Warhol portrait is first I took a picture of myself then I watch Ms. Ramirez step by step instructions for how to make your own portrait, but at first it was hard because there a lot of things you have to do like using the magic wand tool, lasso, ruler, making layer, etc. I don't think I would use this in the future because when you take a picture you can add filters and one of the filters does the Warhol portrait for you.

Lab 3 Reflection Journal

What did I do is that we use a photo of Lancelot and took him out of it and then use quick selection brush to only have Lancelot in our photo, but we did not know this until the Ms Ramirez show us how to use the quick selection brush. This made the hold lad easier because when you use the lasso tool it doesn't come out perfect. After that we copy the layer at least 5 time, then go to adjustment in the image and change each Lancelot, after that we made sure that each Lancelot are not touching each other. I can use this in the future when I'm editing a photo in photoshop I can use quick selection brush. What was fun was when we made copies of Lancelot

Creativity

The source of creativity from the Ted Radio Hour is relate to Wed Design because creativity is how you make it not how copy it. Well you maybe wondering what does this have to do with Web design, well when you're doing the project in Web design on it doing it yourself, that's what makes you different from other since it's your own word and you're not copying from anyone else. The reason why they ask you when you're helping someone that you're not doing the work for them this is because they want everything to be not the same, they want everything to be different.

Lab 2 Reflection Journal

In this lab we took pictures from the neighborhood around our school and the places that we went, then we uploaded the pictures to the computer and use Adobe Photoshop cs6 to to give examples of low point, high point, close up, eye view, and landscape. The hardest part for me in this project was to resize the photo, because I had to make sure that they don't go on the white line of the page or else the teacher will take points off my grade. I solved this problem by using the shift key to resize my picture the right size that I needed. I can use this in the future when I am taking pictures for a friend or someone.

Project 1 Reflection Journal

Today in our project we use many type of foods in order to do the melon head lab. The first thing we did was put the base background and used Marquee, Lasso, and Select tool to make our layer. We also make a background color, but I had problem with it because I dint know that you have to make another layer. Then I use the selection tool to move all the food , to make my Arabian food man. After that I handed it in on Jupiter grades. What I have problem was I couldn't get a perfect food cut out. I found this by zooming in and using the eraser tool to get rid of the white spots on the food. What I can use this in the future when when I'm taking two characters and putting them together like taking a character with fire power together with a guy with ice powers and make a Spiderman or fire Iceman something like that.

Lab 1 Reflection Journal

In this lab we took 4 pictures that we took on the trip and during our weekend, then used Adobe Photoshop CS6 to make some type of picture frame and write our name on it. But to do this you have to opened a new file and save it with the pictures and type your name and print it. What was hard to do was to make the photos look sharp. I was able to overcome this by using the shift key to size my photos perfectly. What I enjoy about this lab was that we took pictures for homework. I can use this skill in the future by when I help my mom because she likes to take pictures.

Rule of Third

The Rule of Third is breaking an image into thirds, horizontally and vertically 3 by 3 so you can divide the screen 9 equal part. The ratio of these image is spit into a 1:2 ratio.

Field Trip

What we did on the field trip is that we took photo for our class and took photo of some of our classmate. We first went around the two block, I was able to to take a lot of pictures of landscape and portrait, but mostly close up picture. I was lot of things such as really big building, flowers ,and house that look really nice I fell like I want to live there.

On the way back I was wondering are we going the same way or a different way, but we didn't have time to turn back so we around the block. I also remember that 7 period was my last period so I was excited to go home on a Friday, but because of this I want now take a lot of picture.

Marquee Tool

The main different between
Regtangular Marquee and Elliptical Marquee is that, Elliptical Marquee Tool allows us to draw oval or circular selections. I would use Elliptical Marquee because it draw oval and circular shape then the others.

Color Scheme

This represents me because my favorite color are blue, red, and green. Orange is a color that I just think it's cool.

What is Web Design

Web Design a process of conceptualizing, planning, and building a collection of electronic files that determine the layout, colors, text styles, structure, graphics, images, and use of interactive features that deliver pages to your site visitors. With this many people can go to the website and get important information that they need for whatever they're doing. Learning how to make a Web is good because you can help others and make money. Knowing that design can lead you to success in life.

Window vrs Mac

There are many differencebetween Window and Mac, one of these things are that Window you can play emulator and steam game with no lag, because you are allowed too build a gaming pc witch performs better than a Mac. Mac are better at update then Window because it will notify you when you need a update on updates professionally, unlike Window it doesn't recognize that it needs an update until like few days or if you check yourself. Personally I think Window is better than Mac because with Window I customize my computer the way I want, but I'm no limited to customisation. And remember price does not really matter when it comes to buying a Mac or a Window computer because each Windows computer has different type of processor.

Hi my name is Ashahi Shafin and I love to make things. I have an older sister and two parents that helps me with everything in my life. I was born in New York the Elmhurst Hospital. There are some important things you should know about me. One of those thing is I have a bad memory, so I tend to forget things really fast, but I know if I try hard I can do it. Also when I grow up I want to be a car engineer when I grow up, but I can become this without anyone's help.

In the beginning of the summer I was fasting for 30 days because of month of Ramadan. So I didn't do much in July until July 17th when Ramadan ended, I celebrate Eid. It is a holiday that only Muslims celebrate. I got to me all of my friends and get money because of the tradition. Right after I eat was my birthday so I got to invite most of my friends and get some gifts. Found the gift that I got a Wii U, The Walking Dead Michonne's Roly Play Katana, $55 dollars, $25 Foot Locker gift card. I was so happy. And August I got to hang out with my family. My dad will take us two places that had ocean views like Battery Park, Chelsea Piers, ect. And when we come home my dad let us eat whatever we want to.

The reason why I am in this class is that, I have pretty good grades like 92% average. Second is, during the interview I participated and listen to what you said also my recommendation paper help me get into the program, but if I want to do good in this class I will have to work hard and study hard and if I don't I might fail this class. To be honest I don't like failing my classes because it makes my parents sad, so I am going to try hard and get good grades in this class.
